Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field (Bi bioinformatics, computational biology, data science, statistics)
• 4+ years of professional data science and bioinformatics experience with a genomics focus
• Proficiency in Python or R and libraries (SciPy, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn)
• Strong statistical genetics, population genetics, and ML knowledge
• Experience with bioinformatics databases/tools like GATK, PLINK, Ensembl, TCGA

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced statistical and ML models for genomic data analysis.
• Process, clean, and analyze large-scale genomic datasets (sequencing, variants, expression).
• Design bioinformatics pipelines to identify genetic associations with diseases/traits.
• Collaborate remotely with scientists to interpret results and drive hypotheses.
• Build visualizations to communicate findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Stay updated on computational biology, genomics, and DS techniques.
