Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with expertise in Ruby on Rails to join our remote development team. You will design, build, test, and optimize scalable backend services and rich front-end features, while guiding and mentoring less-experienced developers and collaborating with product managers and designers.

You will contribute to architecture decisions, enforce coding standards, and help improve the security and quality of the codebase across multiple data sources

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with building Rails apps.
• Good grasp of information security and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and build clean efficient code.
• Refactor and optimise code.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
• Build and maintain databases.
• Integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system.
• Measure and improve system performance and scalability.
• Integrate server-side logic for front-end.
• Participate in development lifecycle tasks including sprint planning.
• Implement automated tests and unit tests.
• Collaborate with project managers, front-end developers, designers and other stakeholders.
• Mentor and grow lesser experienced developers.
• Drive and grow the engineering team through engagement.
