Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Early Years Educator for a fully remote role in South Africa. You will design, develop, and implement innovative online curriculum for children aged 3-5, guiding content creators and ensuring high educational standards.

We seek a strategic, communicative leader with deep knowledge of early childhood pedagogy, digital learning tools, and a track record in curriculum development or leadership. Remote collaboration and SA eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• 6+ years in early years education, incl. 3+ years in curriculum development or leadership.
• Experience creating digital learning content or e-learning platforms.
• Knowledge of child development theories for ages 3-5.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with LMS and digital collaboration tools.
• Experience leading remote teams.
• Advantage: experience within the South African education system.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of engaging online curriculum for early years (ages 3-5).
• Create interactive learning modules, lesson plans, and digital resources.
• Provide expert pedagogical guidance and mentorship to content development teams.
• Ensure curriculum content aligns with developmental milestones and learning objectives.
• Research and integrate best practices in early childhood education and online learning.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, multimedia specialists, and subject matter experts.
• Develop assessment strategies for online learning environments.
• Review and refine existing digital content for quality and effectiveness.
• Contribute to the strategic vision for the company's early years' educational offerings.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in remote education.
