Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Early Childhood Educator to join a fully remote learning team in South Africa. You will design and deliver engaging online experiences for children aged 2–6, leveraging technology to support development from home-based settings.

The role requires a Bachelor's in ECE, at least 5 years of progressive experience, SA regulatory registration (SACE), and strong communication with parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in early childhood education.
• Experience with online/virtual education content.
• Proficiency with Zoom, Google Classroom, and digital tools.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
• Strong virtual communication with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Home office with reliable high-speed internet.
• SACE registration with SA council.

Responsibilities

• Design age-appropriate virtual lesson plans for 2–6 years.
• Facilitate live online sessions with active child participation.
• Create digital content: stories, songs, games, crafts for remote delivery.
• Assess and track developmental progress using digital tools.
• Communicate with parents with regular updates and guidance.
• Collaborate with educators and curriculum team to improve programs.
• Troubleshoot edtech platforms for seamless learning.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive virtual learning environment.
