Job summary

Anglo American is seeking a highly experienced Remote Drilling Operations Manager to oversee drilling campaigns from a fully remote position. You will lead a team of drilling engineers and supervisors, ensuring safe, cost-effective execution and adherence to industry standards.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in oil and gas drilling, with at least 3 years in management, and a strong ability to plan, coordinate, and manage operations remotely across offshore and unconventional assets.

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Remote Drilling Operations Manager to oversee their drilling projects. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to manage complex operations from anywhere in the world. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of drilling campaigns, leading a team of drilling engineers and supervisors. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional planning capabilities, and a deep understanding of all aspects of drilling operations in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, remote work environment and is adept at managing resources and risks virtually.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and supervision of all drilling operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Develop and manage drilling budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of well planning, rig operations, and directional drilling.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, particularly in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with drilling-related software and remote management tools.
