Placements24 seeks a Senior Drilling Engineer to lead planning, execution, and optimization of remote drilling operations in the oil and gas sector. You will design drilling programs and oversee safety, cost control, and performance improvements from a remote location, collaborating with onshore teams.

The role requires a decade of drilling experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with drilling software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in drilling engineering, including offshore and onshore operations.
• Proven ability to manage complex drilling projects and budgets.
• Strong understanding of drilling fluids, well control, directional drilling, and completion technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in drilling software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive drilling programs, including well design, casing, cementing, and completion strategies.
• Manage drilling operations from planning through execution, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.
• Perform risk assessments and develop contingency plans for potential drilling hazards.
• Optimize drilling parameters to improve efficiency, reduce non-productive time (NPT), and control costs.
• Supervise and mentor junior drilling engineers and rig personnel.
• Analyze drilling performance data and prepare post-drill reports and lessons learned.
