Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Compliance Manager to lead enterprise-wide compliance initiatives from a remote setting in South Africa. The role demands strategic oversight of policies, procedures, and risk controls to safeguard the organization against regulatory and reputational risks.

Your extensive experience in compliance and risk management, coupled with in-depth knowledge of SA corporate law, will drive the development of robust frameworks and training to ensure ethical standards

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years' experience in a compliance or risk management role.
• Extensive knowledge of South African corporate law, regulatory frameworks, and compliance best practices.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance strategies and policies.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to excel in a remote work environment with self-discipline and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the company-wide compliance program.
• Oversee monitoring and assessment of compliance risks and controls.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Conduct internal investigations and manage corrective action plans.
• Provide expert advice and training on compliance matters to all levels of staff.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies and auditors as required.
