Placements24 is seeking a Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join our client’s fast-growing pharmaceutical manufacturing team on a fully remote basis. This role focuses on design, optimization, and scale-up of processes for APIs and intermediates, ensuring cGMP compliance and high quality.

You will use Aspen Plus or similar tools, lead scale-up activities, perform PHAs and risk assessments, and collaborate across R&D, QA, Manufacturing worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in chemical process engineering, pharma focus.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP and regulatory guidelines.
• Experience with Aspen Plus or HYSYS and P&ID development.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize processes for APIs and intermediates.
• Lead scale-up from lab to commercial manufacturing.
• Perform process hazard analyses and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA, Manufacturing across geographies.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
