Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with a bridge specialization for a fully remote role. You will lead bridge design and analysis, perform advanced FEM calculations, and prepare tender documents while mentoring junior staff. The role demands strong communication and the ability to manage complex projects from a home office.

Requirements include a Master’s in Structural/Civil Eng with a bridge focus, Pr. Eng registration, and a minimum of 10 years’ bridge experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in structural/civil eng with bridge focus.
• Pr. Eng registration with ECSA or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years in bridge engineering.
• Proficiency in MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, LUSAS and CAD tools.
• Strong remote teamwork and design leadership ability.
• Experience reviewing drawings and leading design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design/analysis of concrete, steel, and composite bridges.
• Perform advanced finite element analyses for complex bridges.
• Prepare drawings, specs, and tender documents for bridges.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and construction methods.
• Collaborate with remote engineers, designers, and PMs.
• Mentor junior bridge engineers and guide design teams.
• Conduct investigations and propose retrofit solutions.
• Ensure compliance with national/international bridge codes.
• Participate in client meetings via virtual platforms.
