Placements24 is seeking a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to join a fully remote, globally distributed genomics research team. • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, CS, Statistics, or related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on omics bioinformatics research experience.
• Proficiency in Python and R; experience with NGS data analysis; cloud & HPC familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large-scale omics datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) using advanced tools and statistics.
• Develop, implement, and validate new computational pipelines and algorithms.
• Design and perform statistical analyses to identify significant biological patterns.
• Collaborate with researchers to define questions and interpret results.
• Mentor junior bioinformaticians and provide technical guidance on analyses.
• Stay current with bioinformatics advances and contribute to data visualization efforts.
