Placements24 is seeking a visionary Remote Senior Beauty Product Developer & Brand Strategist to drive innovation and market presence from anywhere in South Africa. You will conceptualize, develop, and launch new beauty products while shaping the brand’s strategic direction and market positioning.

You will lead cross-functional teams, conduct market research, and translate consumer insights into commercially successful products and compelling brand narratives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Chemistry, Cosmetics Science or related field.
• 7+ years in beauty product development, brand management, or marketing within cosmetics.
• Proven track record of launching beauty products from concept to market.
• Strong understanding of cosmetic formulations, ingredients, and manufacturing processes.
• Expertise in market analysis, consumer insights, and strategic brand planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead ideation, development, and lifecycle management of innovative beauty products across skincare, makeup, hair care.
• Conduct market research, trend analysis, and benchmarking to identify new product opportunities.
• Collaborate with formulation chemists and R&D to prototype, ensuring regulatory compliance and brand alignment.
• Define product positioning, selling propositions, and target audience profiles.
• Develop comprehensive brand strategies, including messaging and visual identity.
• Create go-to-market strategies with marketing and sales for successful launches.
• Analyze sales data and consumer feedback to optimize products and brand strategies.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and cross-functional communication to ensure on-time delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners, suppliers, and manufacturers.
• Champion the brand's values across product development and strategic initiatives.
