The ideal candidate has 5+ years in backend development, strong REST API, database, and cloud/containerization skills, and a passion for scalable architecture in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Expertise in RESTful API design and implementation.
• Proficiency with relational DBs (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and agile development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust, scalable backend services and APIs.
• Write clean, well-documented and tested code with modern backend languages.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and stakeholders to implement features.
• Manage and optimize database schemas and queries for performance.
• Implement and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues; participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to architectural design discussions and tech decisions.
• Stay current with industry trends and propose improvements.
