Placements24 is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for a fully remote role on a distributed engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain robust microservices powering the core platform, collaborating with colleagues across geographies to deliver scalable, secure software.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend experience, strong microservices expertise, and proficiency in Go, Java, or Python, plus cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Proven experience designing and building microservices architectures.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Java, Python, Node.js).
• Experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for a remote work setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices.
• Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code with high quality.
• Implement and manage RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and other stakeholders in a remote-first environment.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security.
