Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Lead Avionics Integration Engineer for a fully remote, international team. You will oversee integration of complex avionics onto next-gen aircraft platforms, lead a team of engineers, and drive certification readiness across ARINC 429, AFDX, and related standards.

The role requires 10+ years in avionics systems engineering, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of regulatory processes (FAA, EASA).

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of avionics systems engineering experience with emphasis on integration and architecture.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams on complex avionics integration projects.
• Knowledge of avionics architectures, ARINC 429, AFDX, and communication networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor avionics engineers through full lifecycle from requirements to certification.
• Develop integration strategies for avionics suites including navigation, comms, flight control, mission systems.
• Oversee design, development, and testing of avionics hardware/software interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with aviation standards, regulations and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with airframers, suppliers and regulators to resolve integration challenges.
