Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote Accountant to join our finance team. The role operates in a remote-first environment, handling financial reporting, compliance, and strategic analysis from anywhere within South Africa.

You will work with a distributed team to maintain financial integrity and support decision-making. The ideal candidate is CPA qualified with 5+ years of accounting experience, including remote work, and proficient in Xero, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, and Excel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of comprehensive accounting experience, with remote work exposure.
• CPA or equivalent professional designation required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and SA tax legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage full accounting cycle, including month-end and year-end close, remotely.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and analyses.
