Placements24 is seeking a proactive Financial Accountant to join their remote finance team. You will handle a broad range of accounting duties, including financial statements, general ledger management, and supporting financial analysis from a home office.

This role supports a global team and leverages cloud-based tools for efficiency. The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of financial accounting experience, IFRS knowledge, SA tax familiarity, and strong Excel along with Xero or QuickBooks Online.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have 4+ years of financial accounting experience.
• Familiarity with IFRS and South African tax laws is required.
• Proficiency with Xero or QuickBooks Online and strong Excel skills.
• Experience working effectively in a remote team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and GL reconciliations.
• Manage full accounting cycle including AP/AR and payroll reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and SA tax regulations.
• Collaborate with auditors and management via virtual platforms.
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls for accuracy.
• Support remote budgeting and financial forecasting activities.
