Placements24 is seeking a Senior 5G Network Engineer for a remote-first role. You will design, deploy, and optimize 5G core network elements and RAN components, ensuring high performance and scalability across a distributed, global team.

Must have 6+ years in mobile network engineering with 5G NSA/SA experience, plus proficiency in CNFs, Docker/Kubernetes, Python scripting, and network protocols. Remote collaboration and independent problem solving are essential.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years in mobile network engineering with 5G NSA/SA experience.
• Proficiency in 5G protocols and related network technologies.
• Experience with CNFs and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with network emulation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Requirements

• Proficiency in network protocols relevant to5G, including TCP/IP, SIP, Diameter, and GTP.
• Experience with cloud-native network functions (CNFs) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with network simulation and emulation tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of resolving complex technical challenges.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation is a plus.
