Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Scrum Master to guide multiple software development teams in adopting Agile and Scrum practices. This fully remote role focuses on enabling high performance, transparency, and continuous improvement in a flexible virtual setting.

The ideal candidate has a strong Scrum background, CSM/PSM certification, and proven remote‑work experience, with excellent facilitation and coaching skills to empower teams to deliver quality software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• CSM or PSM certification is mandatory.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve team impediments.
• Experience working in a fully remote environment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with TDD and CI/CD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coach and mentor development teams and Product Owners on Agile principles.
• Remove impediments and obstacles to team progress.
• Foster a collaborative, self‑organizing team environment with open communication.
• Guide teams in continuous improvement and performance tracking.
• Assist Product Owners in backlog grooming and defining clear backlog items.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, and related tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve team impediments effectively.
• Experience in a fully remote work environment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with various software development practices (e.g., TDD, CI/CD) is a plus.
