Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Residential Property Development Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of residential development projects across South Africa. You will manage budgets, schedules, contractors and stakeholders from concept through handover in a fully remote capacity.

The role requires a strong background in residential development, plus 6+ years in project management, building codes, and contract management.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Property Development, or a related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in residential property development project management.
• Proven track record of delivering residential development projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and contract management.
• Excellent financial management, budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, and relevant design software.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management and ability to work autonomously with distributed teams.

Responsabilidades

• Manage all phases of residential property development projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and market analyses to identify viable development opportunities.
• Oversee the design process, working with architects, engineers, and other consultants to develop optimal building plans.
• Obtain all necessary permits, zoning approvals, and regulatory consents required for development.
• Select and manage contractors, suppliers, and consultants, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to contracts.
• Monitor construction progress, conduct site inspections, and address any issues or challenges that arise.
• Develop and manage project budgets, including cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Liaise with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment with market demand and sales strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Prepare project reports and presentations for senior management, providing updates on progress, risks, and financial status.

About the Role

Our client, a leading and innovative property development company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Residential Property Development Manager to join their dynamic team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to manage projects from anywhere in South Africa. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of residential development projects, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to design, construction, and final handover.
