Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer with a renewable energy focus to join a fully remote, globally distributed team. You will conceptualize, design, and optimize electrical components for solar, wind, and battery storage projects, driving innovation and sustainable solutions.

You will lead electrical design from feasibility to detailed design, collaborate across disciplines, and stay ahead of industry trends while enjoying a remote-friendly environment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Master's degree required.
10+ years in electrical engineering with renewables.
Experience with solar PV, wind, and BESS implementations.
Knowledge of grid interconnection standards and protection schemes.
Strong leadership in remote settings.

Responsibilities

Lead the electrical design and engineering of utility-scale renewable energy projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design.
Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and specifications for power generation, conversion, and grid interconnection systems.
Perform complex simulations and analyses, including energy yield assessments, grid compliance studies, and performance modeling for solar and wind energy systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (civil, mechanical, project management) and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in renewable energy and electrical engineering, recommending innovative solutions.
