Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Remote Quality Control Specialist for a manufacturing client. This fully remote role lets you monitor quality across materials, processes, and finished products from anywhere, with focus on compliance and continuous improvement.

You will work with production, engineering and R&D to resolve issues, document findings, and participate in audits, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Quality Management.
• Proven experience as a Quality Control Specialist in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of quality control principles and tools (e.g., SPC, Six Sigma basics).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans and procedures.
• Inspect materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure standards.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.
• Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions taken.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare quality reports and present findings to management.
• Participate in internal and external audits as required.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest quality control techniques and best practices.
• Manage and maintain quality control documentation and records remotely, ensuring accessibility and accuracy for the team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape or other locations.
