Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead digital transformation initiatives on a fully remote basis within South Africa. You will drive website redesigns, app development, and digital marketing programs, coordinating virtual teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in project management, with 4+ years in digital projects, and holds PMP/PRINCE2 or Agile certifications.

• Monitor progress against baselines and take corrective actions for on-time, within-budget delivery.

About the Role

Our client, a progressive technology firm focused on digital solutions, is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to drive digital transformation initiatives. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within South Africa . You will be responsible for managing projects that enhance digital customer experiences, streamline online operations, and implement innovative digital tools and platforms. The role requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies, digital trends, and the ability to lead virtual teams to successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of digital transformation projects, including website redesigns, app development, and digital marketing campaigns.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, technical requirements, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively, implementing proactive mitigation and resolution strategies in a virtual environment.
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional remote teams, including designers, developers, marketers, and QA testers.
• Ensure project deliverables meet high-quality standards and align with the company’s strategic digital roadmap.
• Maintain transparent and consistent communication with all project stakeholders through various virtual channels, providing regular status updates and performance reports.
• Monitor project progress against baselines and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Champion Agile methodologies and foster a collaborative team spirit within the remote working setup.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 4 years specifically focused on digital projects or digital transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience managing projects with budgets up to R35 million.
• Strong understanding of digital technologies, web development processes, mobile application development, and digital marketing strategies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate remote teams effectively.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello) and collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver high-quality results in a fully remote environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work remotely within South Africa .
