Job summary

Placements24 seeks a proactive Project Engineer to manage municipal infrastructure projects in Pretoria and broader Gauteng. You will oversee planning, execution, monitoring and close-out to deliver water, sanitation and road upgrades on time and within budget, with a remote-friendly setup.

Coordinate with municipal partners, contractors, and consultants, ensure compliance with bylaws and standards, and drive projects from design through commissioning while maintaining quality and safety across

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering for municipal infrastructure.
Proven track record in public sector projects.
Strong understanding of water, sanitation, and road construction principles.
Experience with project scheduling software.
Ability to work remotely and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Manage full lifecycle of municipal infrastructure projects from planning to commissioning.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Oversee contractors and consultants to meet milestones and quality.
Conduct site inspections and progress meetings, document status.
Ensure compliance with bylaws, regulations, and engineering standards.
Liaise with municipal officials and stakeholders to facilitate success.
