WhatJobs Direct is seeking a highly motivated Remote Production Chemist for a fully remote role in the Oil & Gas industry. You will analyze and optimize chemical aspects of production, advise on chemical treatments, corrosion control, and scale inhibition, and collaborate with field teams to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The position requires data analysis, virtual laboratory work, and preparation of reports on chemical performance and recommendations.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production chemistry within Oil & Gas or closely related sector.
• Strong knowledge of scale, corrosion, paraffin and emulsion control.
• Experience with laboratory analysis techniques relevant to oil & gas production.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
• Excellent problem-solving and remote-work capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze production samples and data to diagnose chemical issues (corrosion, scaling, emulsion).
• Develop, recommend, and monitor chemical treatment programs for wells and facilities.
• Provide guidance on chemical selection, dosage, and application methods.
• Conduct laboratory analysis and interpret results to support operations.
• Troubleshoot chemical-related production problems and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, field operators, and vendors on chemical management.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations for chemical use and disposal.
• Maintain detailed records of treatments and performance data.
• Research new chemical technologies for the Oil & Gas industry.
• Prepare reports and presentations on chemical performance.
