Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a Production Chemist to support remote operations in the Oil & Gas sector. You will analyze production fluids, develop and implement chemical treatment programs, monitor effectiveness, and troubleshoot issues from a home-based office.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field, at least 5 years of experience in production chemistry within Oil & Gas, strong analytical skills, proficiency with laboratory equipment and production chemistry
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
- Minimum 5 years in production chemistry, Oil & Gas.
- Strong knowledge of corrosion, scale inhibition, and demulsification.
- Experience with production chemistry software and data analysis.
- Ability to work remotely with field teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyze production fluids to determine composition and issues.
- Develop and implement chemical treatment programs.
- Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust as needed.
- Troubleshoot corrosion, scaling, and paraffin problems.
- Provide remote technical support to field operations.
- Ensure environmental and chemical safety compliance.
- Maintain records of usage and results.
- Collaborate with engineers to optimize production.
