Placements24 seeks a Process Development Scientist to join a cutting-edge R&D team in a fully remote role. You will design and pilot novel chemical processes for new product development, collaborating with a global team to translate discoveries into scalable technologies.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, with 5+ years in process development or synthetic chemistry, and strong DoE, analytical and remote collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in process development, synthetic chemistry or chemical R&D.
• Proven DoE experience and optimization of chemical reactions.
• Lab techniques and analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC-MS, NMR.
• Strong theory in organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms and physical chemistry.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D of new chemical processes from bench-scale to pilot studies.
• Design and execute experiments; optimize conditions, yields, and purity.
• Develop and validate analytical methods for intermediates and products.
• Prepare research reports, publications, and internal documentation.
