Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Process Development Scientist for a fully remote R&D team to optimize and scale manufacturing processes for novel products. You will apply chemical engineering, process chemistry, and analytical expertise to deliver robust, cost-efficient production for new products.

You will work with manufacturing, QA, and research teams to translate lab discoveries into scalable commercial processes, ensuring high yields, purity, and robust quality controls.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of scale-up principles and manufacturing operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize chemical synthesis or manufacturing processes for new products.
• Conduct experiments to evaluate process parameters and improve yields and purity.
• Scale up processes from lab to pilot plant and commercial scales.
• Develop and validate analytical methods for raw material, in-process, and finished product testing.
• Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to ensure quality.
