Placements24 is seeking a Remote Chemical Process Development Engineer to join a global specialty chemicals team. You will design, optimize and scale new chemical processes for high-performance materials from a fully remote environment.

With 5+ years in process development, you will collaborate with R&D and manufacturing to translate lab innovations into commercially viable production methods, while upholding safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years in chemical process development and optimization.
• Experience with process simulation software and data analysis.
• Hazard analysis and process safety knowledge.
• Strong communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize chemical processes for specialty chemicals.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, pilot studies, and simulations to evaluate feasibility and performance.
• Develop mass and energy balances, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams.
• Perform detailed process hazard analyses (PHA) and implement safety measures.
• Troubleshoot process issues and identify opportunities for yield improvement, cost reduction, and waste minimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for scale-up and technology transfer.
• Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and recommendations for implementation.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in chemical process development.
• Communicate findings and project status in a remote work environment.
