Placements24 is seeking a passionate Advocacy Officer to join a fully remote team, focusing on Soweto and beyond. You will research critical issues, develop advocacy strategies, and engage with policymakers, community leaders, and the public to drive meaningful change.

In this remote role, leverage digital platforms to amplify our client's voice, influence policy, and mobilize support for social issues within the Soweto community.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in advocacy, policy analysis, or campaign management.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of policy-making processes and government relations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic advocacy campaigns to address identified social issues.
• Conduct research on policy issues, gather data, and prepare advocacy materials, position papers, and policy briefs.
• Engage with government officials, policymakers, and community stakeholders to promote our client's agenda.
• Organize and facilitate advocacy events, workshops, and public awareness initiatives remotely.
• Monitor legislative and policy developments relevant to our client's mission and communicate key updates.
