Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a qualified Remote Play Therapist to support children’s emotional well-being through play therapy. This fully remote role allows you to work from home with flexible hours while delivering evidence-based interventions using telehealth.

You will assess, plan, and implement treatment, collaborate with parents and schools as needed, maintain confidential records, and stay current with best practices in child psychology.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Play Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or a related counseling field.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in relevant field or credential (e.g., RPT) if required by region.
• Strong knowledge of child development and play-based therapy approaches.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual play therapy sessions with children across ages and concerns.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
• Utilize a range of play therapy modalities in a telehealth setting.
• Build rapport and maintain a therapeutic alliance with child clients.
• Provide guidance to parents/guardians on progress and strategies.
• Maintain confidential records and document progress accurately.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and schools as needed.
• Stay current with evidence-based practices in play therapy and child psychology.
• Ensure ethical and professional standards in all client interactions.
• Adapt interventions for remote delivery via telehealth platforms.
