Placements24 is seeking a qualified Remote Virtual Child Psychologist & Mental Wellness Coach to deliver telehealth assessments and interventions for children and adolescents. The role focuses on evidence-based therapies and collaborative family involvement, all from a fully remote setup.

You will employ CBT, DBT, play therapy, and family systems approaches to improve mental health outcomes, with a strong emphasis on ethics, confidentiality, and technology-enabled care.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus on children and adolescents.
• Licensed or eligible for registration as a Psychologist in South Africa.
• Minimum 4 years of clinical experience with children/adolescents.
• Proven telehealth/virtual therapy experience.
• Proficiency in CBT, DBT, play therapy, and family systems approaches.

Responsabilités

• Conduct virtual assessments and diagnoses for children and adolescents (ages 5–17).
• Provide individual and family therapy via secure telehealth platforms.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Offer mental wellness coaching focusing on resilience and coping.
• Collaborate with parents/guardians to support the child’s mental health journey.
• Maintain confidential client records in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Participate in online case consultations and team meetings.
• Stay current with advances in child psychology and virtual practices.
• Educate clients and families on mental health topics and strategies.
• Maintain ethical and professional standards in all virtual interactions.
