Job summary

Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a dedicated Remote Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to support a global leader in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This role focuses on analytical testing, method validation, and data interpretation to ensure products meet regulatory and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences, at least three years' experience in QC or analytical development, and strong knowledge of ICH cGMP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical quality control or analytical development.
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and dissolution apparatus.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical testing.
• Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills, with a proven ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise reporting.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a virtual team, demonstrating proactivity and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of materials and products using techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectroscopy).
• Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods per ICH guidelines.
• Interpret test results and document deviations or out-of-spec results.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and maintain calibration.
• Review and approve QC data in line with procedures and regs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, and regulatory affairs to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain understanding of cGMP and regulatory standards.
• Prepare technical reports and summaries for management and regulatory submissions.
