Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Specialist to join a globally recognized pharmaceutical company. This fully remote role within South Africa emphasizes GMP/GCP compliance, audits, CAPA, and continuous quality improvements, with a focus on ensuring product safety and efficacy.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related science with 5+ years in QA within pharma, capable of working autonomously, and communicating findings clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Solid understanding of GMP, GCP, and relevant pharmaceutical regulations.
• Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external inspections.
• Proficiency in deviation management, CAPA systems, and change control processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities remotely.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using quality management software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve quality-related documentation (batch records, specs, validation protocols).
• Conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes, laboratories and quality systems.
• Support external audits by regulatory agencies and customers.
• Investigate deviations and OOS results; implement CAPAs.
• Participate in change control processes and risk management activities.
• Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in training personnel on quality systems and GMP/GCP requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory guidelines and best practices.
• Prepare and present quality metrics and reports to management.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards before release.
