Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Pharmaceutical Clinical Trials Manager to lead end-to-end studies from a home office. This fully remote role requires planning, execution, and oversight of Phase I–IV trials, ensuring compliance with GCP, ICH, SAHPRA, FDA and EMA guidelines while coordinating with global teams.

You will manage budgets, timelines, investigative sites and CRAs, oversee data collection and reporting, and maintain vendor relationships (CROs, labs, IRBs/ECs).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in clinical trial management.
• Experience with Phase I–IV trials.
• Knowledge of GCP/ICH and SAHPRA, FDA, EMA.
• Experience with EDC and CTMS.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

About the Role

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical organization committed to advancing global health, is actively searching for a dedicated and experienced Remote Pharmaceutical Clinical Trials Manager. This position is a fully remote opportunity, enabling you to manage complex clinical trials from your home office and contribute significantly to our drug development programs. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of clinical studies, ensuring they are conducted in accordance with ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and protocol guidelines. This role requires a proactive individual with exceptional organizational skills and a deep understanding of clinical trial management principles. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of clinical trial conduct, from initiation to closure, ensuring compliance with GCP, ICH, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
• Develop and manage clinical trial budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Select, train, and manage investigative sites and study personnel, including Clinical Research Associates (CRAs).
• Ensure timely patient recruitment and retention, addressing any challenges that arise.
• Oversee data collection, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Manage vendor relationships, including CROs, central labs, and IRBs/ECs.
• Prepare study-related documents, such as protocols, investigator brochures, and informed consent forms.
• Conduct site monitoring visits (remote or on-site as required) to ensure compliance and data quality.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and ethics committees throughout the trial lifecycle.
• Contribute to the development of clinical development strategies and study designs.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field.
• A Master's degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in clinical trial management within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing Phase I-IV clinical trials.
• In-depth knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., SAHPRA, FDA, EMA).
• Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems and clinical trial management systems (CTMS).
• Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Experience in therapeutic areas such as oncology, cardiology, or neurology is a plus.
• Proficiency in risk-based monitoring strategies.
