Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Healthcare Support Worker to join a remote-first team focused on Remote Patient Monitoring. You will monitor patient conditions from home, respond to alerts, and coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuous care.

In this fully remote role, you will educate patients and caregivers on device use, document interactions, and help manage chronic conditions while upholding privacy and accuracy in records.

Qualifications

• Qualified in nursing, healthcare assistance, or a related field.
• Experience with patient care and remote monitoring.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and privacy regulations (POPIA).
• Strong technical aptitude with digital health tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' health remotely and track vital signs.
• Respond to alerts and emergencies, escalate as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on device use and care plans.
• Document interactions and progress in the electronic health record.
• Coordinate with physicians and nurses on patient status.
• Identify trends in patient data and report concerns to the clinical team.
