Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator for a part-time, remote role. You will assist with coordinating shipments, tracking deliveries, and maintaining essential logistics documentation from home.

You will support the main logistics team by ensuring smooth flow of orders, communicating with carriers, and preparing routine reports. The position offers flexible hours and valuable experience in logistics within South Africa.

Qualifications

• Some experience or internship in logistics, shipping, or supply chain is preferred.
• Basic understanding of shipping processes and documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating domestic and international shipments, ensuring all necessary documentation is processed.
• Track shipments and provide status updates to internal teams and external stakeholders as required.
• Maintain accurate records of shipping activities and update the logistics database.
• Communicate with carriers and suppliers to confirm shipment details and resolve minor issues.
• Support the Logistics team with various administrative tasks related to order processing and tracking.
• Help prepare reports on logistics activities as directed by the manager.
