Placements24 is seeking an highly analytical Operations Research Analyst to join a fully remote team. You will apply mathematical modeling and analytical techniques to solve complex business problems and optimize decision-making across functions.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience applying operations research techniques to solve real-world business problems.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with optimization solvers (e.g., Gurobi, CPLEX).
• Expertise in statistical analysis, simulation modeling, and forecasting techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a fully remote setting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain mathematical models, algorithms, and statistical methods to address complex operational issues.
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform strategic decision-making.
• Design and conduct simulations to test various scenarios and evaluate the impact of proposed operational changes.
• Collaborate with business leaders and technical teams to define problem statements, gather data requirements, and communicate findings.
