Placements24 is seeking a vigilant and proactive Remote NOC Analyst to join our fully remote team. You will monitor a large telecommunications network, identify issues, and act as the first line of defense to ensure uptime and performance.

You will respond to alerts, troubleshoot, document incidents, and coordinate with engineering to resolve problems around the clock, while maintaining clear communication with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 1–3 years in network monitoring or IT support.
• Familiar with TCP/IP, SNMP and common network devices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance, availability and security using monitoring tools.
• Respond to alerts, troubleshoot and perform initial diagnosis.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers with details.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and proactive Remote Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst to join their fully remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for monitoring the company's extensive telecommunications network, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime. You will act as the first line of defense against network disruptions, working collaboratively with engineering teams to diagnose and rectify problems around the clock. This position offers the flexibility of a fully remote role, enabling you to contribute to essential network operations from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance, availability, and security using sophisticated monitoring tools.
• Respond promptly to network alerts, troubleshoot issues, and perform initial diagnosis and resolution.
• Escalate complex network problems to senior engineers or relevant support teams with detailed information.
• Document all network incidents, actions taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Perform routine network checks and proactively identify potential issues before they impact users.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding network status and incident updates.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in network monitoring or a related IT support role.
• Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, SNMP, and common network devices.
• Experience with network monitoring software (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting network issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
