Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the national fleet from a home-based position. The role emphasizes strategic oversight, driver performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement using telematics and fleet software.

You will manage remote teams, architect efficient routing and maintenance plans, and drive cost effectiveness while ensuring safety and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in logistics, business admin, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of fleet/logistics experience, including remote supervision.
• Strong knowledge of national transport regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee national fleet operations remotely with focus on efficiency.
• Develop strategies for routing, fuel management and maintenance.
• Manage driver scheduling, performance, and compliance with policies.
• Use telematics to monitor assets, driver behavior and KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with transportation laws, safety standards and regs.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams and service providers to minimize downtime.
• Analyze data and generate reports on fleet performance and costs.
• Lead remote teams, fostering safety and excellence.
• Implement crisis management plans for disruptions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and tech advancements.
