Job summary

You will audit repair estimates, validate evidence against descriptions, and ensure fast SLAs while coordinating with repair providers and stakeholders. A strong background in vehicle valuation and insurance workflows is essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
• Qualified Panelbeater, Spray Painter, or Motor Mechanic (red seal preferred).
• Registered with the Vehicle Damage Quantifier Governing Body (VDQGBSA).
• 2+ years of digital/desktop assessing in insurance, or 5+ years as workshop estimator.
• Advanced proficiency in Abuntex / Audatex and claims workflows.
• Vehicle valuation via live market test and Mead & McGrouther code.
• Modern Desktop capability across multiple digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Review high-resolution photos, videos, and digital claim files from repair shops or clients.
• Analyse and adjust digital quotes using Abuntex or Audatex.
• Check consistency of damage descriptions with accident reports remotely.
• Adjust labour hours, paint costs, and parts choices; promote aftermarket parts when appropriate.
• Calculate market values to identify repairs vs. total loss and process write-offs.
• Maintain quick turnaround times for digital authorisations and client vehicle downtime.
• Resolve repair methodology disputes with Motor Body Repairers via digital portals, email and phone.
