Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Mine Operations Analyst to join our team remotely. You will monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of mining operations across multiple sites, using data analytics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

This role emphasizes data-driven decision making, development of dashboards, and clear communication of insights to stakeholders. You should be proficient with SQL, Python or R, Excel, and visualization tools such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in operations analysis, preferably within the mining or resources sector.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and advanced Excel.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze operational data from multiple mining sites using advanced analytical tools.
• Develop performance dashboards and reports to track key metrics such as production, costs, and safety.
• Identify deviations from planned performance and investigate root causes.
• Provide data-driven recommendations for process optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
• Support the development and implementation of operational improvement strategies.
• Communicate findings and insights clearly to stakeholders across different departments and levels.
