Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Data Analyst to join its virtual operations team. You will collect, process, and analyze large datasets from mining operations, exploration, and market trends to provide actionable insights and support strategic decisions.

This fully remote role offers flexible work from anywhere and involves translating data into clear reports and visualizations, collaborating with geologists, engineers, and management, and driving efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 3+ years of mining or related resource data analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel.
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong communication and remote-work ability.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from mining operations and exploration projects.
• Perform statistical analysis and modeling to identify trends and anomalies.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Tableau/Power BI to present findings.
• Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and management to meet data needs.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor data to inform planning.
