Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join its Outreach Programs. This fully remote role enables flexible service delivery across the North West province, including Rustenburg.

You will provide emotional support, advocacy, and connections to community resources via secure digital platforms. You will conduct remote needs assessments, develop personalized support plans, facilitate access to services, and maintain confidential records.

Qualifications

• 2 years of direct mental health support experience.
• Qualification in mental health, social work, psychology, or counseling.
• Strong communication and empathy.
• Ability to work remotely with autonomous caseload.
• Familiarity with North West mental health resources is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional support via phone, video calls, and messaging.
• Conduct remote needs assessments and develop personalized support plans.
• Facilitate access to mental health services and community resources.
• Offer psychoeducation on mental health, coping strategies, and self-care.
• Monitor client well-being and escalate concerns to supervisors or emergency services.
• Maintain confidential client records using secure digital systems.
• Develop and maintain relationships with mental health professionals and community orgs.
• Advocate for clients' rights within healthcare and social services.
• Participate in virtual meetings, case consultations, and training.
• Promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma in the community.
