Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Mechanical Systems Engineer to join a globally distributed team. Based remotely, you will support operations near Mossel Bay and design, analyze, and optimize complex mechanical systems.

You will rely on FEA and CFD tools, collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and software developers across time zones, and prepare detailed documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Master of Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in mechanical system design and analysis.
• Proficiency with CAD software and simulation tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks).
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test mechanical systems and components.
• Perform in-depth analysis using FEA and CFD to optimize performance.
