Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for agricultural machinery and automation equipment using CAD software.

• Create detailed mechanical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, electrical engineers, and agronomists in a virtual environment to integrate mechanical systems with control and sensing technologies.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes, considering factors like durability, cost, and environmental exposure.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs, analyzing results and implementing improvements.
• Ensure designs comply with safety standards and agricultural industry requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues identified during product development, manufacturing, or field deployment.
• Stay informed about advancements in agricultural technology and mechanical engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical design and systems engineering, with a focus on machinery or electromechanical devices.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and experience with FEA tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including statics, dynamics, materials science, and fluid power.
