Placements24 is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a fully remote project execution team focused on solar, wind, and emerging renewables. You will design, analyze, and implement mechanical systems, ensuring performance and reliability across geographically distributed projects.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, CAD/FEA tools, and project lifecycles within the energy sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering focused on renewable energy projects (solar, wind).
• Proficiency in CAD software and FEA/CFD simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and structural analysis.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of IEC/ASME codes and standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, crucial for remote roles.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and analyze mechanical components and systems for renewable energy installations.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations for new projects.
• Create detailed mechanical drawings, specifications, and BOMs using CAD software.
• Perform stress and fatigue analyses and simulations to ensure structural integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with civil, electrical, and structural engineers for integrated designs.
• Develop and review technical documentation, project reports, and O&M manuals.
• Support procurement and construction teams with technical clarifications and site issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental best practices.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and innovations in the renewable energy sector.
