Placements24 is seeking a Remote Mechanical Design Engineer to join our international team driving renewable energy innovations from anywhere in the world.

The role focuses on designing mechanical components and systems for solar, wind, and energy storage technologies. You will perform advanced CAD design, run FEA/CFD analyses, and create BOMs while collaborating with engineers and project managers across borders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for renewable energy technologies using advanced CAD software.
• Conduct detailed analyses including FEA, thermal analysis, and CFD to optimize performance and reliability.
• Create engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with a dispersed team of engineers, researchers and project managers.
• Support remote prototyping, testing and validation processes.
• Troubleshoot design challenges in a virtual collaboration setting.
• Ensure designs meet performance, international standards and sustainability goals.
• Research new materials and manufacturing methods for improved product development.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes in remote work context.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
