Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automated manufacturing environments. You will analyze production data, guide upgrades, and collaborate with vendors to deploy new equipment across Centurion-based operations.

The role requires a strong background in manufacturing engineering, systems design, and project management, with a focus on safety, reliability, and lean principles. Remote-friendly, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing systems design, automation, or industrial engineering.
• Proven experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and other industrial control technologies.
• Strong understanding of data acquisition, analysis, and reporting for manufacturing processes.
• Experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and execution of technical projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain integrated manufacturing systems, including automation, robotics, and IoT solutions.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, optimize workflows, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Develop and execute projects for the upgrade and integration of manufacturing technologies and software systems.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution to maintain production continuity.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to select, procure, and commission new manufacturing equipment and technologies.
• Ensure systems comply with safety regulations and industry best practices for manufacturing environments.
