Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote Management Accountant to enhance financial reporting and strategic budgeting across operations in South Africa. You will prepare management accounts, run variance analyses, and drive forecasting in a fully remote setup.

You should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 4–6 years in management accounting, strong Excel, ERP familiarity, and excellent communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct profitability analysis and costing to support pricing decisions.
• Develop and maintain financial models for planning and scenario analysis.

• Monitor KPIs and provide regular updates to management.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

About the Role

The Management Accountant will be instrumental in providing critical financial insights, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and driving performance improvement across various business units. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze management accounts, including variance analysis, and provide insights into business performance drivers.
• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.

• Conduct profitability analysis and costing exercises to support pricing and strategic decisions.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or CA(SA) is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
• Proven experience working in a remote capacity, with excellent self-management and communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling techniques.
