Placements24 is seeking an Investment Banker Analyst for the Mergers & Acquisitions division in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will build complex financial models, evaluate targets, and support deal execution from origination to close.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• 1–2 years of internship or experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or transaction services.
• Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills, with demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
• High level of attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work long hours under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Develop detailed financial models, including DCF, LBO, and accretion/dilution analyses.
• Prepare comprehensive pitch books, client presentations, and marketing materials for M&A transactions.
• Conduct in-depth company and industry research to identify potential targets and strategic opportunities.
• Assist in the valuation of companies using various methodologies.
• Support senior bankers in managing deal processes, including due diligence coordination and transaction execution.
• Analyze financial statements and operational data of target companies.
• Monitor market trends and economic conditions relevant to M&A activities.
• Build relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of confidential information memorandums (CIMs).
• Ensure all analyses and documentation are accurate and compliant with industry standards.
